Alumni and Gift Query question

Hello,

The results from this query did not yield all of the results. We are looking for any graduated alumnus and any donors that have made a gift in the last 5 years. Please see a snipit of my fields. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Actually I'm surprised that this isn't returning more records than expected - because of the OR operator in the middle, the solicit code and solicitor type criteria are only being applied to your alumni, and the "email number not blank" criterion at the end is only being applied to donors.

Have you looked at the records of some of the missing constituents to see if they have anything in common? Missing constituent codes etc. I'd also look at the checkboxes at the top of your query to see whether you're including constituents with no valid address etc.

I agree with Alan. You may want to see what the missing records have in common. I think you are either excluding them (via the email = NOT Blank, etc.) or never including them from the beginning.

Also, like Alan said, that OR in the middle of your query...I'm also surprised that you aren't getting more results, especially to have another AND after the OR clause.

You may want to think about breaking this query into smaller parts and creating merges.

Assuming that the solicit codes, solicitor type and email criteria need to be applied to everyone, you could keep this as one query - just take the opening parenthesis off the OR line and put it on the AND one row higher.
