What happened to Mail Merge Wizard in 7.96

Hello!


I'm testing an upgrade to 7.96 for our database and when I get into Mail, I'm noticing the Send to Word merge wizard is gone - how do you merge in 7.96??

I've tried searching on documentation from 7.95 or 7.96 to see some step by step action for merges but am finding nothing. What simple thing am I missing?

  • Might this be missing because my test server does not have Microsoft Office installed on it?

    Maybe that's it. Seems to be logical.

    We're on 7.96 have the "send to Word merge" option on all our Mail functions as we did in 7.93. 
  • The issue was that Word was not installed on the server


    I figured the send to Word merge wizard couldn't have been gone or I would have heard some screaming in the community


    But thought maybe there is something I didn't set in user options and/or whatever


    Anyway mystery and issue solved  :)
  • Glad you've solved it - I've had issues before with not being able to test pivot reports and other functionality because the server didn't have Office on it, so it doens't just affect mail merges.
