Query on Non-Donors?

Hi Raiser's Edge colleagues!


I'm in the process of trying to do a major data clean-up project for our organization. We have tens of thousands of constituents, but I'm hoping to create a query to figure out how many people in our system are non-donors and have never donated to our organization, as well as constituents without contact information in their record. I've tried setting up a query with "gift date- blank" as a criteria, as well as phone number and address being blank, but it's still not pulling the data as I need it-- it's still pulling current donors. Do any of you have advice on how to set up a query like this?

    There is a non-contributors report under analytical reports. You can choose to create an output query. After running the report open the query add the information needed.

    Hi Clara


    You were very close. Try First Gift Date is <blank> instead of Gift Date is <blank>. That will give you non-donors. You'll need to select the appropriate soft credit settings depending upon if a person should be considered a donor or non-donor if the only gift on their record is soft credit.
