Splitting Donations into Multiple Fund IDs

We have been asked to research a way in which Online Express can manage a donation from one constituent and break it out into various fund IDs without having to do anything manual on the backend.  Our understanding is that it is a one to one relationship and perhaps a donation can be split into 2 fund IDs equally however we'd like to know how to handle a donation of $50,000 whereby they want it split out into 12 different fund IDs. 


Can Online Express handle this?

    Are you importing this record into RE? If so, wouldn't it be easier just to split it out manually in the gift record once it's imported? Setting up automation for one gift, even a large one, is probably more effort than the result is worth. Just have the donor put the desired breakdown in the notes. Or have them call you with their payment info and just enter it directly into RE as they tell you how they want it split?


    Unless BB has added split gift capability in the most recent update, our experience is that the Fund ID is indeed a 1-1 relationship in OLX, so this has to be done manually at some stage of the process, with the donor making a note, or just making a separate donation for each fund they want to designate.

    I love to know if you find the solution to this problem. We have found we are unable to split gifts in OLX. The donor will list how they want their gift split, then we split the gift properly once we move the gift from OLX to RE. We use the email we receive regarding the gift to tell us how the donor wants the gift split.

    In donation forms in NetCommunity, there was a way to allow for multiple funds to be selected - some checkbox somewhere.  Does Online Express NOT allow this?
