Including a Reminder Mailing Package in the Direct Mail Appeal

Options
Hello!

We are trying to include our packages for our reminder mailings under our direct mail appeal, which has its own appeals. We currently have the reminder mailing set as zero people solicited because we don't want it to double count the people who received the direct mail appeal and the reminder mailing. But with the zero solicited it means we are calculating the response rate and average gift amount manually.

Our other idea was to make the reminder mailing its own appeal, with the number solicited, and then combine the two appeals in the performance analysis report.

Does anyone have any recommendations on best practices for this?

Thank you!

    Thank you!

If it were me I would recommend your other idea and just use a separate appeal. That way you can count everything on its own or combined. You can also run a query to find out how many received both.

  • Thank you for your input, Michael. That is
actually what we ended up doing!

    Thank you!

We make the reminder it's own appeal, with it's own packages.  It's a separate appeal for us even if it sends to some of the same people.  You could use export, I suppose, to create one single list of everyone who receive either or both appeal.
