Online Express option needed for donors to opt to pay credit card processing fees

Hello.


I've used several platforms that allow the donor to check a box indicating that they wish to pay for the credit card processing fee so that the nonprofit receives the total amount of the intended gift amount. Some of our donors have opted to use such platforms rather than give on our website because Online Express does not have the option to do so.


It would be mutually beneficial if Blackbaud would add such a feature. Not only does it allow the organization to receive the entire intended amount, but it also automatically enters the gift into Raiser's Edge to be batched, saving on data entry time and eliminating errors. And, Blackbaud would gain more income from donors who use other platforms instead.

    This is a really good idea! It looks like there over 100 other users that want this to happen too, check out the OLX Idea Bank (https://community.blackbaud.com/products/onlineexpress/ideas)... I did a quick search for this and there are two posts about donors covering processing fees.

    If you go the link and click on "Planned" under "Filter by Status" it appears that a post for this idea has been marked as "Planned" but there is no timeline indicated by BB staff as to when that will be implemented.  You might be able to inquire through OLX Support if there is a timeline for this idea's implementation.
