How do I change the tax-deductible portion of the autoresponder receipt?

Configure which portion of a gift is tax deductible when you set up the donation level. There are two key fields in the equation:

(Contribution Amount) - (Value of Goods & Services) =Tax Deductible Portion

So, for example, if a particular donation should not be tax deductible in its entirety, then Contribution Amount and Value of Goods & Services should be equal.

    How do you do this for a donor-entered amount? We're using this for a flexible donation, but the value of what they get will always be 100% of their gift. I can't figure out how to set that.

    Bumping this thread - can't find other info and I BADLY need a dynamic value for the value of goods and services/tax deductible amount...

    You could bypass the S120:dc:taxDeductibleValue tag and build the amount manually using the S130 tag, which allows you to do polish notation math using S-Tags. 


    That would have to be done on the thank you page and autoresponders, so you'd be building all of the donation summary blocks with S-tags and html.


    Of course this doesn't do anything beyond display to the donor. Reporting would not match this value. PDF receipts would not either. For that you are talking about a customization, talk to your CSM and check your budget.


    S130 is pretty weird. There's an ancient thread in here somewhere called "Big Red Thermometer" where I first figured out how it works with Noah's help. It will blow your mind. Others have posted a few really good backwards-engineered summaries of the extensive S130 abilities.
