audio recording from voicemail

in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT®: General Discussion
When a voicemail audio recording of a message from a donor-  is sent to me by our Admin Assistant  - via email, can this be saved on Raiser's Edge? I have tried Actions and Notes but no luck.

    I'm not aware of any way to save an audio recording.


    Option that comes to mind would be to create document of text from the recording and save that.

    Susan, you should be able to do this via the 'media' tab within the RE constituent record.

    Neat, I didn't know you could upload audio. Will remember that should need arise.

    Thanks, Susan for starting this thread - it had never occurred to me to save voicemails and we get all ours via email so cool!


    We have NXT and it is odd that even after 18 hours my test voicemail media (database view) has not been transferred to attachments (web view). I was able to save it directly to NXT, which of course does not save to the database view at this time. I actually had no media on my record yesterday. Our intern is in the process of moving everything from our old Omatic MagicFolder to media and hit the Js yesterday before lunch.


    I was curious if anyone else was experiencing this before I contact support.

    Hi Elizabeth-


    It will copy eventually, but it does take a long time. I attached my audio file to database view yesterday around 8 am and it is only this morning that I finally see it in NXT.

    I will hold out another day or two then. It is still not there and it has been over 24 hours now. I can be patient angel
