Import - to change a package description

When we converted to using RE we did not convert the package names. Can I import package descriptions to the individual gifts using the Gift ID #? If so, what is the import name field for this? Thanks

    I think the cleanest way to do this would be to first import all of your packages into the appropriate appeals. You can do this Appeal Package import. All you need is the appeal ID and the package ID and description (assuming you've made description required). If there are any other package parameters you think are useful, you can import them at the same time.


    Once you've done that, you should be able to import the packages onto the gifts via a standard Gift import. You'll need to make sure you've selected the "update existing records" checkbox in the upper left of the first tab, and then you'll map your gift import ID and just pull over the Package ID field from your spreadsheet.
