2019 Canadian Tax Receipts

Fellow Canadians,

I am wondering if you can share your expertise on the new tax receipt requirements for Canada effective 31 Mar 2019. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/charities-giving/charities/sample-official-donation-receipts.html Specifically the version with appraiser name and address, where would you suggest entering that information in the gift record?

Currently I use my gift reference field for description of the in-kind item, and my working environment is RENXT database view.

Any best practices you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Gen,

We also use the reference field, which you can place where you would like it in the receipt template to display the information you need, also using NXT/Database view
