Complex OLX Forms for Grouped Events

Options
My organization is currently trying to determine a method to create an OLX form for our Homecoming, which features multiple subevents. With a goal being a single checkout and CC charge, the best we can come up is exceedingly clunky, unintuitive, and repetetive. A preliminary outline can be found here: https://www.westminster.edu/alumni/test/hc-test.cfm

Our main issue is the repeated asking of registrant fields and participant attributes. For instance, if a constituent wanted to attend every event related to the 50th Reunion with a guest, they're asked to fill out 6 registrant names, and fill out 6 sets of participant attributes.

I've also reached out to a few of our contemporaries that use RE and OLX for their event forms, and they're more or less all in the same boat.

Has anyone come up with a good solution to clunky, convoluted forms for grouped events? The form we have now is usabe, but far from ideal, so much so that we're likely going to be making custom forms and using a different CC charge solution than OLX+BBMS.

Thanks!

    Thanks!

I am new to OLX and we have not tried the event registration yet, although we do have the event module. In my last position, over 3 years ago, we had NetCommunity and the event sign up sheets were better than in OLX. When using the grouped event, if you signed up for more than one event, and even if you signed up a guest, after the initial entry of yours and the guest name, the system allowed you to just click for it to auto fill the names for each additional event, or you could tell it you would give the guest name later and it would just continue walking you through the registration. It was not as clunky as OLX-- a much smoother process. I wonder if they are planning on improving these sign up forms. Sorry I can't offer you any help!

We STRUGGLE with grouped events. If anyone has a solution I'd love to hear!

Just chatted with BB because I was testing setting up a grouped event in OLX and apparently that functionality doesn't exist in OLX. I was not aware of that when I made my previous post. I'm very sad and frustrated about this because we were hoping to utilize this in the Fall. I"m going to see if anyone has placed this on the Idea board, and if so vote for it. If not, I'll create it and post on the community for all to vote on it. Please do vote when you see the post! Thanks!!

There is an existing idea posted, please search for the idea below and vote for it. Currently there are only 24 votes. It doesn't say Grouped event in the title, but that is basically what they are asking for. Thanks to all in advance!!

Create one registration record for an event even when multiple registration fees are selected
