Last Action Query?

Options
Hi all,

I've been asked to create a query that will give us an idea of the last time we made some form of contact (action/touch) with our constituents. Our SVP want's to be able to see what constituents we may have missed a connection with. Or when the last time we reached out may have been. I'm a little new to creating my own queries and want to make sure that I'm doing this correctly. indecision So any help will be much appreciated.

I'm working with an Action query. Criteria = action date, action completed, and Solicitor  Output = action note, date and solicitor name Sort = solicitor

Am I heading in the right direction with this? Any suggestions?

Thank you!!

  • You'll need to use a Constituent Export (instead of exporting from a Query) in order to export last action info.  Or at least a *Constituent* Query if you really want to export from a Query.

  • I have a report like this but I use a Constituent Query.  And then you can query based on "Last Action" (which is a separate thing from "Action").

My report is usually querying on records in portfolio and then I have the export include the Last Action Date, Last Action Solicitor, Last Action Note.  We sort this and then color code it (0-6 months since last contact is green 6-12 is yellow, 12+ months is red.

We call it out stoplight report (something I picked up from a conference I attended).

You could do a Constit query based on Last Action Date (less than or equal to some date) if you wanted to look at your group as a whole to find those who haven't been "touched" since a certain date.
