When the date_modified gets updated on Constituent API?

Hello Everyone,


We want to get a list of all the constituents that were updated in a certain period. For example, all record on RE NXT that were updated after 3rd April 2018 3:40 pm UTC. We see that there is a constituent list API with a "date_modified" filter. 


We want to understand will the "date_modified" field on constituent Entity gets updated in the following scenarios. (We haven't found this in the documentation)

1. If a phone number is added
   1. with inactive status
   2. with do not call status
   3. primary and active
2. If an address is added
   1. any type with an active status
   2. any type with an inactive status
3. If an online presence added
4. If an education is added
5. If an email address is added
   1. primary and active
   2. inactive
   3. non-primary
6. if am employment or a custom field is added.

If not, what is the best way to get a list of all constituents that were updated during a certain period (any of fields i.e. first_name or phone number or email or address or custom field or employment)?
