E-Blasts to Individual Relationships within an organizational record

Currently our organization sends e-blasts to Individuals and we can also send them to the general e-mail address for an organization. However, we want to send e-blasts to specific individuals who are contacts within those organizations. For example, one organization may have 5 contacts each with their own e-mail address. It is my understanding that I would have to create Individual records for each of those contacts in order to send to them. Is there another option for sending e-blasts to contacts within organizations? Thanks for any suggestions.

    You don't need full constituent records for Contacts to do this, but you do need to store that relationship in the Raiser's Edge in some fashion. For example, you can make relationships between Orgs and non-constituent Contact records and those non-constituent records can store an email addresses. If you were to do this you could create a constituent query looking for your list of Orgs (e.g., Constituent Id Is One Of or Key Indicator equals Org) and on the Output tab look for RELATIONSHIPS -> CONTACTS -> NAME for the Contact's name and RELATIONSHIPS -> CONTACTS -> PHONES -> SPECIFIC PHONES -> <enter phone type for email here> for the Contact's email address.
