Does anybody start using the new consent module? Need some help in setting up the Business rules. We have got all negative solicit code ie "Do Not Email", "No E-newsletter" etc... and if a supporter sign up for the newsletter we record them in attributes but with new consent module I think we need to have the positive solicit codes as well  so that can be recorded all the opt -in ones. Can someone advise?

    I've just set up our busines rules and yes, you do need to have positive opt-in solicit codes as well as opt out as the solicit code is automatically assigned when you enter info into the consent tab.  Otherwise you would have to leave the opt in fields blank so that no solicit codes are assigned when a donor opt in, but you'd have to go in and manually add your attributes too if you were still planning to use these.

    We recently updated to the new patch in our test environment and found out that the consent table is not yet query-able. 

    Not all of our consent tables will initiate a solicit code, and if we can't query on them separetely, this update doesn't do us much good.


    That being said., really like the feature so I'm anxious to be able to start using this to its full potential.

    That's a big issue - not being able to query on the consent table fields is (possibly) even worse than not being able to Import to it (as at least ImportOmatic has that covered, if you use it). Having asked Blackbaud about this, that Query functionality will be added to the consent module in the same patch that adds Import functionality, which was ostensibly scheduled to be released at some point between the middle and end of March, although I've not yet had notification of it.


    BB need to remember that not all organisations use Solicit Codes (we too use Attributes, as they can be dated and store additional source information, impossible with a Solicit Code).
