Entering Professions in RE

Hi everyone,

We would like to have a system for adding parent and alumni professions in RE. Does anyone use a certain website that breaks down professions and job titles in some type of tier that works well in RE?

Hi Tammy,

Does the Business sub-section - Bio 1/lower right button - not work for you? It has a Profession field, with about 80 pre-set categories - such Consulting, Design, Medicine - and which you can change/tune as you wish.

Failing that, maybe a Constituent Attribute?

But since you mention what sounds like a student/parent/graduate situation, maybe you're also using Education Edge and the info could/should go in there?

Hi Steven,
Yes, the preset occupations work, but it's more the "fine tuning"/ adjustments that I was wondering about. I was just wondering if there was some sort of template people are using.

Hi Tammy,

We try to get as much information about parents from their child's application to the college. From there we use ResearchPoint for any parent prospects. For our alumni, they have the ability to make Profile Updates through NetCommunity. We also use ResearchPoint for any prospects that a gift officer will be meeting with or reaching out to.
