Best place for notes

For the examples in your post, I would add them as organisational relationships, you can do this without the organisations being constituents. Go to the Relationships tab, select "Organisations" from the left hand panel, and click "New Organisation Relationship". This way you don't have to trail through a long list of random notes if you need to report on this information in the future.


If the information relates to the constituent's current employer, you can also add it through the "Business" button on the Bio 1 tab, this way the information automatically gets recorded as Primary Business Information.


If you need to add Notes, you can do this in the Notes tab. You can specify the Notepad types to select from in the "Notepad Types" table in Raiser's Edge Config. It can get a bit messy over time as the list grows and the entries become harder to categorise, which is why in an example like yours I would use the Relationships functionality to make it more consistent.
