Logged out of Raiser's Edge When Innactive

Options
Does anyone know if there's a way to keep RE from constantly logging me out when I'm innactive on it? It'd be great if I could leave it open for longer than it currently allows. Constantly signing in can be a pit of a pain.

Thanks!

  • Thank you so much Joanne! I do have Supervisor rights, but I'll let my team know.

Just FYI, the user timeout defaults from BB came as part of the PCI compliance if I remember correctly.  (It's been a long week but I remember when they went in effect and there was some reason for it.) So, while you may lengthen the time before users are logged out, be sure you remain compliant. smiley

    Gaby,

I have superviosr rights as well. However, we created an alternate login for me to use when the auto-logout would be an issue (running long exports, etc.)

But as suggested, I have unchecked the option for all non-supervisors.
  • Running long exports is actually not a problem. You will get locked out, but the exports will continue to run. The only thing that I've ever had to use my non-admin login for was for processing the NCOA AddressFinder results.
  • Smart thinking, thanks for the advice!

  • Good to know, thank you Alicia!

    Gaby,

This is controlled under Business Rules (in Configuration)

If you have Supervisor rights you cannot stop this from happening

A Supervisor can check the box that says "Disable inactivity timeout for all non-Supervisor users" and this will prevent the need to log in after inactivity for all non-Supervisor right users

It is the simple things that make us most happy, so excited to find this, thank you!
