Manually linking records in LO and RE

Options
Hi,

We are fairly new to the RELO plugin.  Here's the scenario:

1. New people sign up to receive certain mail from us on our website through an LO survey.

2. We import to RE.

3. RELO then drops the person back in, as a duplicate, into LO.  So now we have two records.

There is no $ involved.  How do I create the record in RE so that it links to the LO record and doesn't create a duplicate.

Thanks,

Shavaun

    Hello,

How are you getting the information into RE the first time (your step #2)? Through the RELO plugin? Or an RE import?

    Thanks,

We are usually importing (import-o-matic).  Occassionally I will have a one off name that I create in RE.

You should not be running both RELO and the Omatic LO integration or you will potentially get things like this happening. We were using RELO and just shut it down to move to Omatic and had to make sure that we were not using both simultaneously.

  • We are going to Import-o-matic soon and from what we know, the records should come from LO into RE and create a record in RE if there is not one already.

You shouldn't have to create in in RE first, that would be a nightmare! :-)

When importing the import should fire if there is a conflict or if there needs to be a merge when importing from LO to RE.

We have not seen actual LO data come back to RE yet. Training this Thursday, but Import-o-Matic should use the LO id to match from RE. There is an alias id in RE that holds the LO id. This is how it will send data back.

    Thanks,

    Phil
