How to reset Donor Category?

Dear All, 


I'm NEW to Raiser's Edge and hope you can give me a help to produce a Donor Category Report. 


Q 1. I need to generate a report which lists constituents in each category and the total donated; I successfully generated a report, but the Donor Category doesn't match. It shows: 

Platinum ($10,000 +) 

Silver ($5,000 +) 

Gold ($1,000 +)

Friend ($1.00 +) 


My Donor Categories should be: 

Diamond HK$250,000 

Platinum HK$50,000

Gold HK$5,000 


Q 2. I would like to make sure the currency is in HKD, how and where can I check?

    Hi Shirley,

    Q1: Go to Config/ Tables/ Donor Category tables and add a new table with your levels.

    Then in your report under the Format tab click Detail and where it says "use donor category table" replace the current table with your new one.


    Q2: I don't know about that. What are your Regional settings?

    By the way, I would like to have a details report which include Donor name, each of his or her donation records and when is the donation. Do you have any idea which report should I use please? 


    Re: I got the answer for Q2. The booklet said it depends on the user's country/ location.

    You can use the Constituent Giving history report or the or the Gift detail and summary report (under Reports/ Financial Reports).

    I would recommend that you familiarize yourself with the second one, because it can be used for a lot of different reporting needs.

    If you are just looking at just one Constituent you can run his/her history right out of the Constituent record by using the Giving summary button (see attachment).
