Giving Circles constituent lists

Hello,


I'm working on a Giving Circles report (Donor Category Report) for the annual report.


For the most part, most donor gifts are designated to one record. With the purchase of Luminate Online, we designate gifts/registration to the event participant. Wherin, for a couple, gifts can be found on two records vs one household. 


How do you combine all gifts from spouse, partners, couples? Unfortunately, soft credit is not a reliable function because not all gifts were soft credited.


Is there a way to query or report for total gifts within a household?


Any suggestions??
