Most companies charge a higher percentage (~3% is the average) than BBMS, which I believe charges 2.3%. Since BBMS charges less to its customer, they hold on to the money for a week and they're actually investing that money and earning a small % gain on it. Though you shouldn't think of it as them investing your specific dollars - it's more like there's a investment fund out there that is being fed by transactions and they pay out of it on a weekly basis. So by having a longer time period between investments, they can keep more of that money in their investment fund and earn more interest off of it. Companies that charge their customers more can pay out more quickly because they've already made the money their business model says they need to make to be sustainable.
