End of Year Recurring Giving charge comes on the weekend-help!

Hi,

Our organization charges our recurring gifts on the 30th of the month every month. BUT....the 30th of the month comes on a Saturday this year and I can't come in and charge the donations until after the weekend on the 2nd. Normally this is not a problem and we do this the rest of the year BUT... we want to make sure that the gifts are charged this year. Does anyone know of a way to easily and quickly change the schedule for charging to the 28th or 29th so I can charge them early this month?

I know how to go in and ammend each gift schedule individually but I am hoping someone has an easier and quicker fix.

So, I'm assuming that you're generatin these gifts by creating a batch, going to Tools > Automatically Generate Transactions/Payments > Generate Now. If that's the case, you can just change the date where it says "Transactiosn due on or before:" to 12/30/2017 and generate those transactions today if you wanted, or any day. It'll apply that transaction to the next open scheduled payment on the gift record, so it shouldn't disrupt future transactions in any way.

Of course, you may want to test this on one individual record just to be sure things operate the way you want them to.
