We are having some trouble with corporate donations in Luminate. We've had some companies make gifts online, but since there doesn't seem to be a good way to accept gifts from organizations, they pull through our system under the name entered on the credit card. So if the gift is from Home Depot, but the name on the card is John Smith, we end up with the gift entered under John Smith in our system (LO and RE). 


Does anyone have a good way to handle this? We're considering adding a field for Company Name to the donation form, but we don't want it to be confusing for people who are entering an individual gift.

    Yea, I do not understand the decision to treat org records and gifts as they do in LO. Does this work for anyone?


    You could add a custom field to the donation form "Is this a company gift?", and add the company field beneath it. (You could even map that field to a custom 'IsOrganization" boolean field on the cons record.)


    You could even get fancy and use some jQuery and CSS to only show that field if they click the checkbox.
