Fundraising Dinner with Journal

We are using RE7/NXT to run our fundraising dinner for the first time. All other dinners were not run through RE. We are looking to enter and track journal ads through RE in a way that will allow us to export a file to the printer.

Have you done this before? What are your tried and true methods for tracking reservations AND journal ads?

I'm not really sure what you mean by "journal ads," but we have the Event module and use Online Express to collect and manage event reservations. It works really well for us. If you don't have the Event module and guests must pay in advance for your dinner, then you could create a donation page in OLX and add some event-specific Gift and/or Constituent attributes to the form for them to fill out. If there are no fees associated with the event, you could have people sign up using a Google form or some other online form and then import those into RE as Actions or Appeals with event-specific Attributes.
