Global Adjustment of Cash Gifts ?

We recently had an influx of frauduelent credit card charges enter our database. Our policy is to not delete gifts but make adjustments.


With over 70 cash gifts entered into the system, is there a way to globally adjust these gifts?   I've seen a way to globally write off pledges, but not Cash gifts.

    Hi Nicole,

    Are you trying to change the amount of all these gifts to 0?


    I'm just wondering what you mean by adjusting the gifts


    In any case if you are just trying to change the amount of the gift, you can do that via a gift import. 


    Actually doing a search to find a template for you I ran into this Knowledgebase article that says you can do it via a global change - as long as the gifts have not been posted.


    So I learned something new - cool!  :)

    Joanne is correct, you can Globally Change or Import the Gift Amount.  However, if you want actual Adjustment Records, to indicate that the Gift was Adjusted, I believe you must do that manually.  (Intern or volunteer project?)


    A workaround might be Global Change and have it change the Amount as well as add a Gift Note and/or Gift Reference to indicate the issue and the Adjustment (that's not actually an Adjustment Record on the RE Gift).
