Integration Options and Default Sets

Options
Continuining on my ongoing quest to implement OnEx, we've come up against a new annoying thing. We use OnEx for a range of things meaning a range of quite different teams use it to process and create very different types of new constituent.

However, I've just discovered only an RE supervisor can see the Integration Options to enable them to switch the constituent code or the Default Set applied to each user. It was already a awkward wnough place to point them to, but now it means that either I have to make lots of people supervisors (hardly desireable); or we have to be involved every time someone wants to process transactions on OnEx; or it's another "feature we can't use" meaning we need a much longer work around.

I don't even get why this is set up in this way.

So please could we have it so that either default sets are something the RE user  can set up for themself sopmewhere in each section, OR make it so that everyone can access the integration options, not just those with full suprervisor rights?

Giving in to my idealistic optimist side I've submitted this to the ideas bank:

https://re7.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RE7-I-4683

...and encourage you to vote for it, but given how rarely anything from here actually gets impleented I won't hold my breath. After all, all the hyperlinks in our emails still have to be underlined and I would have thought that, at least, would be relatively easy to fix.

  • LOL. If it makes you feel better, you are not the first person to remark on this much-needed flexibility within OLX integration options.  smiley

  • Matthew, you might (might) have better luck getting your Idea noticed if you post it in the OLX Idea Bank rather than the RE7 Idea Bank.  There are fewer Ideas there and the OLX staff is likely paying closer attention to the specific OLX Ideas rather than weeding through RE7 Ideas for something related to the product.

    Thanks Jen,

I must admit, I thought that was what I had done. It was certainly what I meant to do. I've never quite got used to the new ideas system.

  • They look the same and operate the same, so it's very easy to get confused.  Kind of which each one used a different color or something.  I try to always check the path at the top to be sure I'm in the correct product.  wink

It's kind of weird that they have an OLX category in the main Ideas bank and then have a separate section, to be honest.

Is there anyway to move it across? Could one of the community admins do this?
