We are currently getting ready to re-register around 65 families in our parish. I would love to create this form on Online Express so that I can just link these families to existing records instead of collecting data on Google and manually entering or trying to figure out how to update constituent records without constituent ID/import ID/etc. I am trying to use the event form, but utilizing that only list family members and their attributes on the "event" record, and not on the constituent record itself. Le sigh. Am I trying to make Online Express better than its capabilities at the current time? Is there a way to modfiy "registrant" fields to do what I want with just an "online signup"? I need to collect updated address/email/etc., as well as names, ages, sacraments needed, and other information for each family member/child. Does that make sense? Is there a way to create that type of data collecting form on OLX? Or am I dreaming?

    Sadly, I do not think it is possible. sad Your best bet would be to take the registrant information, export it, re-format the column headings, and then re-import the data into the necessary constituent fields. Fortunately, you can run the list, without constituent IDs, through Import telling it to check for pre-existing records, and it will supply the missing IDs for you.  Or you can resign yourself to transferring your current system entirely into Event and work from there. It would be nice if OLX allowed us to add more fields to the email marketing signup forms!


    Or, you can go outside of OLX and use MailChimp forms twinned with its partner software, Chimpegration. You can add limitless customizable data fields to a Mailchimp signup form, for parish, sacraments, age, etc. Chimpegration allows for Record matching using email address as well as Constituent ID, and it then allows field mapping between Chimp forms and Constituent fields. However, this would still require multiple sweeps to match and synchronise the data, and the record matching is not nearly as flexible or robust as OLX.
