Our organization switched to RE NXT so that we could use OLX.  Not having a coupon code WILL NOT allow us to use OLX.  We give out 10% off or $5 off coupon codes for different classes and events.  We currently use TicketSpice and they allow the use of coupon codes.  When we switched we were told that OLX would allow this.  TicketSpice costs more and does not integerate with RE.  There goes the savings were had hoped to have from a dollar cost and time savings.  


OLX needs to have a way to offer coupon codes when offering events.

    Who told you that OLX allows coupon codes?  I've never seen it, but I am also interested!  I would go back to that rep for clarification. (And share here what you find out, please!)  You can also add it to the idea bank!

    When we were looking at making the switch to RE NXT our sales guy and the engineer he had us meet with said OLX could do it.  They don't remember that conversation now, but we both (my co-worker) remember talking to them about it because that is the only reason we use TicketSpice.  I was excited to move all of our event and merchant activity to Blackbaud and now I don't think we will be able to use any of it.  OLX was super easy to use to create events and we loved that part, but without coupon code functionality we won't use it.  


    When i talked to someone at helpdesk they said it could be done, but they had to generate the codes.  I said great, but then I heard back from their OLX group and they said they could not do that either.  


    Their solution is to create seperate URL's with the different prices and give out the website address's to the different discounts.  That is a dumb solution in our opinion because you can't control how many times it gets used.  I think Blackbaud is leaving major money on the table until they figure this out.


    They recommended we use Bidr which is a site they work with to do this, but then it requires us to work with another outside vendor and might as well keep using TicketSpice.  If you use coupon codes I recommend them.

    Sadly, you've been given inaccurate information. I'm not sure if you were on RE7 before or another CRM, but RE7 integrates just fine with OLX without needing to switch to NXT.

    We are on RE7 and upgraded to NXT.  We were wanting to use OLX, but without being able to use Coupon Codes it is very limited in how we could use it at all.  You are correct that we can use OLX with RE7 only, but it was cheaper to upgrade to NXT which comes with OLX.
