Online Donation Form and Benefits

Options
Hello,

Anyone have any experience or samples of using benefits within the OLX online donation form?  In an upcoming appeal, we're offering an ornament; so I'm trying to use the OLX donation form. I need a donation form that includes:

- general donation (value is less than ornament giving minimum)

- ornament type without engraving

- ornament type with engraving

- two ornaments with or without engraving

- mail ornament to:

- e-receipt

Any ideas? I'm thinking attributes will need to be created a few, individual donation forms.

Thank you!

    Hi SheryAnne!

We kind of do this with a few things we sell for employee fundraisers.  Because OLX does not offer any type of "shopping cart" option, we use an event form as a work-around.  So each item you're selling is an event participation type.  We run the benefits through RE then (on the event record.)

Unfortunately, OLX doesn't have any type of dynamic field for receipt/benefits value.  So we just include it in the text. Like "Per IRS regulations, you have received benefits equal to $20 for each ornament, $30 for each engraved ornament; any other donation is tax-deductible above the value of benefits."

I would use an event form that has:

    Ornament (no tax deduction)

    Engraved Ornament (no tax deduction)

    Additional Donation

And for each 'participant' (purchase) you can have the mail to info there.

    Hi Steph!

Interesting to use an event form- that makes sense and is helpful. I ended up creating 4 different donation forms and linking them to content within a landing page.

    Thank you!
