Maximum Online Capacity

Hi all, we are new to OLX and I didn't think about the maximum # of registrants online would include all of the tickets sold. For example, we have the following:
  1. Event Tickets
  2. Tuition Raffle Tickets
  3. Head Master for the Day Tickets
I input 250 as our maximum online capacity, but it is counting all of the ticket options, not just the Event Ticket. I have 7 actual event tickets sold, but it's showing 14 because of the other ticket sales. Is there a workaround for this? Or something I am missing?

    We are looking for a similar work around.  We only have a limited amount of tickets in each catagory and we are being told that you can't restrict each sales type, only the MAX capacity.  I can't believe that this would be correct?  Help!  Any one have a work around?

    I don't think you are missing anything, and unfortunately I don't know of a workaround other than to have separate registration forms for the different ticket types.  But that's not really a solution. This is an area where the event registration forms could use a little beefing up.  For instance, for our major gala, we have sponsorships and tickets available -- the sponsorship levels each come with a set number of tickets.  But the maximum online capacity doesn't have an option to account for this.  So someone paying for a 20-ticket sponsorship gets counted as 1 against the max. capacity, not 20.  I've been meaning to visit the Idea Bank to see if anyone else has asked for this functionality but haven't done so as yet.

    You will have to shut down the form when you near capacity.

    Unfortunately you will have to create separate forms for each fundraiser.  It's a much cleaner process.

    We are having same issues, putting an inventory limit on the software (which is basic for event modules) would help immensely.

    Would very much appreciate a similar option - we have:

    - General ticket

    - VIP Ticket


    Would appreciate the ability to indiviually limit the capacity of individual ticket types.


    The VIP Tickets are almost sold out and I don't want to take the option off the form completely. It seems a bit silly to have to make an entire new form for a separate ticket type that is a part of the same Event module... if that makes sense....

    Hi Jenna,


    I'm the product manager for Event Online Registration forms in Raiser's Edge NXT. While this doesn't address your request for OLX I wanted to let you know there are plans to add the ability to limit capacity on price options (ticket types) in NXT Events. Once it is in place the limit would apply to the price option regardless of if it were sold in the back office or online.
