Using queries with OnLine Express

Options
This may have been asked already but I can't seem to find it when I search.  We have RE7 webhosted with Online Express.  Many of the records that are listed as Do Not Contact have the coding in the solicit code area.  We are trying to get away from using 'subout' queries for email lists to using pre-set dynamic queries (e.g. all alumni, all parents), but we have many records coded in the solicit code as Do Not Contact, No Email Push Page, etc.  Does anyone have experience in Online Express moving away from solicit codes and what have you done in their place?  Do you just use the DNC box next to the email instead of the solicit codes?  Any help is appreciated.

I would use the "Requests No Email" check box, but you will still need to put that in your query to omit those constituents.
