Is it possible to change the color of the giving levels on the NetCommunity Mini Donation Form part?

Hi Michaela,

It is possible to change the color of the giving levels on the Mini Donation Form. In order to do so, the CSS elements for the giving levels would have to be targeted with the desired color in the site style sheet under Site explorer > Style sheets or in a Unformatted Text part on the page itself. We do recommend having a designer work with any style sheet changes since these changes can impact the whole site. Designers you have on staff or third party designers can be utilized to make these changes as well as Blackbaud Professional Services.

Thanks, Tony. Unfortunately, we do not have a designer in the department, nor is it a big enough priority to warrant hiring third party designer (at this time).

Tony- I asked two designers here on our team to look into helping us with this (we too want to change the colors), but here's what one said:"I looked around to see if there was a way to edit the CSS file but couldn’t find a simple way to access it. The portal that BBNC provided via site manager -> style sheet didn’t really give us the CSS file, but rather a runaround to upload new CSS files, which isn’t what we want to do." What is the work-around to be able to get the part colors update? I also don't even see the new beta part in our style sheet, so not sure where that comes in?

There is a way to attach a style sheet directly to the mini donation form with in the parts settings. The other way is to create second part on the same page and then use it to hold the style code for the mini donation part. Be warned though that the part its self loads in lots of styles and can be quite a pain to modify it beyound just simply changing a color. Also, the part only supports one source which makes it all but useless for us. We also had problems with the checkout process popping up alerts saying it was insecure and various other issues so we abandoned using it.

Don't lose heart, folks! I just returned from BBCON and raised our concerns in the BBNC roadmap session. According to Pallavi, SP2 that will be released early/mid November is supposed to correct some of our greatest concerns with these new forms. While they aren't going to give us access to the SKYAPI stylesheet that's holding us back, they are updating some of the code so it gives us more control. My greatest concern addressed: The mini donation form (and the email sign up form) shouldn't break our responsive sites. This should allow those of us who've already converted our sites & forms to be responsive to utilize the new parts/features. I'm hoping SP2 addresses some of your other concerns as well, but they're workign on it!!

Curious if anyone has found the css coding to update the mini-donation parts? We want to make the part skinny, to fit in a side column, but can't find the correct code to force it to a certain width. It reduces automatically, but doesn't reduce enough, to fit where we want it.

Thoughts?
