What is the best way to creat a custom LYBUNT report to be in excel and easy to use for mailings?

  • The easiest/fastest solution is to create a constituent query and set the "Last Gift" gift date to less than a year ago (or whatever your cutoff date is for who is a LYBUNT). Export the results of this query in export.

This method may not be best if you also need to take into consideration soft credits, housholding considerations (one is a LYBUNT, the other is not), etc....

    Good luck!

If I were doing this I'd also put a start date or you will end up with a ton of records.  So if you want to know if they gave last year but not this year, depending on if you mean FY or calendar year I'd put Last Gift between 1/1/16 - 12/31/16

I would use the canned LYBUNT report and check the box to have it produce a query.  Then you can export that query through Export using whatever fields you want.
