Gift Fund Group is Empty

Hi- I have a report that I have grouped by fund and fund category (in the gift table). However, some of the funds that I have goals for will not appear in the report because there aren't gifts for those funds. I want all the active funds to appear on the report with a zero amount and then the goal to appear. Do you have any suggestions? I am thinking of adding gifts of $0 for all of the funds in the list so that they will appear in the report. Does that make sense?

I had the same issue with an appeal report since I was using a gift export and solved it the same way as you mention. I entered dummy $0 gift records on my own RE constituent record, one for each appeal that we needed to show on an appeal report.

Yes, that's the way I'd do it. Crystal can't really generate data that doesn't already exist, so you fake it.

I’m not sure if the fund and fund category
names are in a different table than the gift amount or not.
But if they are, make sure you have the correct join type on the
tables. If you have an equal join, then if the gift amount
does not exist, you won’t see the fund name. However, if you
use a left outer join, then the fund name will appear even if there
is no gift amount.
