In R.E. 7, where do you document in the cultiviation and solicitaition plan for a prospect?

Hi everyone,


In Raiser's Edge 7, where do you document the cultivation plan for a prospect? For example, our Development Officers and the Executive Team work together to plan the cultivation and solicitaiton plan for a prospect and generally end up drafting a document with this plan (what will be said, what are their interests, very similar to a propsect profile but with specific steps that will be taken). Where would your organization attach or record this document?


I was thinking of the specific proposal but this is before our Development Officers and Executive Team even know what dollar amount they will ask the donor. As a result, the proposal doesn't sound like the best place at this point of the prospect management cycle.


Any thoughts?

    There is nothing wrong with using the Prosposal without entering a dollar amount.  In my experience, oftentimes the dollar amount is left blank -- it is not a required field afterall unless you make it one.  If you want to track moves management I would suggest using Actions and utilize the status field in Actions for tracking the steps.  The Actions link to the Prospect Tab, just like the Gift Tab does.
