Email Automation/Series question

Options
Hi all,

I'm wondering what the possibilites are for an on-demand email series in Luminate. I figure to do this every message needs to be sending every day, and each user gets the corresponding one for that day. This is the path I'm thinking of:
  1. User signs up for email series via a Survey or similar form
  2. The user then gets one email every day until the program is complete.
  3. The user can sign up for the program again at a later date and it will start all over.
The complications I'm running into are:
  • Can I build queries to target if someone has been sent a prior message?
  • Can I build queries to target if someone has recently filled out a survey or joined a group?
  • Since Luminate won't resend an email to the same person twice, and each message is recurring how will the user reenter the program after they've been sent each message?
Thank you!

So first you can re-send an automated email to a constituent. In the Email Campaign configuration you can select the option that says each email sent will be unique content. So this bypasses the "send email only once" rule.

For grouping, you can add people to a group who complete a survey. You can also create response groups so if they answer the question "What is your favorite color?" and they answer "Blue" you can put everyone who answers "Blue" in a group. Note though that these groups must be manually rebuilt.

The challenge with your "opting back into program" is that the record creation or last transaction date is what is typically used for a cultivation series like this. You have to set this up or it will put everybody in the send group every day. You do a query that builds a query-built group for each email. So if someone opts back into receive the emails again that date element can't be used. And I can't think of this any way unless you capture the date in a survey when they opt back in and it adds the date to a custom_date field.

    Hope this helps!
