Has anyone else tried to set a Max Donation amount in their Donation Forms?


Any good ideas as to what we should consider doing? Right now our ideas are to use Jquery to validation and throw an error message past a certain number of digits, but that does not seem feasible and easily worked around from online fraud.

    I recently took the LO Email webinar where this is covered.  The trainer helped us understand that the field can be used for many things, but we mostly chimed in that it would be used for a political donation, since they are limited by law.  We don't have a need to limit the donation amount, but I believe there was also mention that BlackBaud Merchant Services may limit it to $10,000 for reasons I can't remember.  Our largest LO donation to date is $5K.  We're coming up on our year anniversary of launching LO.

    While you cannot set a maximum amount per form, you can per campaign. If you edit the donation campaign, on Step 2 "Choose Financial OptionsThis is the current page.", you'll see the field "Maximum Donor-Entered Amount".

    I must have passed over that a thousand times in LO. Thanks! I couldn't find it in the documentation either; but Community to the rescue!
