Email Personalization Merge Testing Before Sending?

I am working on sending a donation renewal email out to past donors and including the "Last Donation" field, however, I'm concerned about it not working properly. Is there a way to send the email, merged, in it's final form as a test and not send it out the the constituents so that I can see that everything comes out right? Like in Word where you merge it before printing it so you can make sure everything comes out correctly.

Hi Scott,

You have the option to see how the email will look to certain constituents and groups when you preview the email through the html content. Any personalizations will appear in the preview for that individual.

You could also set up a group that consists of yourself and staff that have donations on their profiles and verify if the information is correct by actually sending the email to that test group.

Hi Scott -

Like Janis explained, you can do that with the Test the message step on the Send Review Email page. You can choose a constituent in that step by clicking the Change link to change how you view the test email. See Test the Message in the help docs and follow step 3 on that page.
