RELO pulling gifts through more than once, weeks apart

We are having an infrequent occurrence of TeamRaiser gifts pulling through the RELO connector a second (and sometimes third or fourth) time. For example, a gift was given in TeamRaiser in April. The gift came through the RELO plugin and was downloaded into RE in April. Then the gift came through the RELO plugin again in June, and again in July. After the first time we noticed multiple instances of the same gift, I explored, and found 11 gifts that came through additional times in error. There doesn't appear to be a correlation between batch and this error. I am now searching for additional duplicates by downloading all gifts from RE into Excel, then doing a pivot table on the RE gift attribute "Luminate Online Gift ID" -- a four digit number. This remains the same each time the gift comes through. Last week I found 11 gifts, yesterday I found three more by chance. I am working with LO support, but the resolution is happening slower than I had hoped. Has anyone out there had a similar situation. What was the resolution? Thank you so much for your help.
