Use of Stripe Credit Card processing and integration with Raiser's Edge

Our PBS TV Station is wanting to use Stripe as it's 3rd party vendor uses them.  The University side of the house (uses Banner) uses TouchNet.  The Foundation and Advancement went to Raiser's Edge and we use Blackbaud Merchant Services (which does not work with the station's 3rd party vendor).  So, the questions are:  If you use Stripe what are the pros and cons and does the data intergrate well to RE 7.96?  Any suggestions or help comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Judith, 


    We are an RE shop, but our giving pages are through EverTrue which uses Stripe to process payments. While there is no direct integration between Stripe and RE that I am aware of, we are able to download the gift transactions from EverTrue and then run a macro to format them for import. Not sure if that is a possiblity with the 3rd party vendor your TV station is using and if you have more questions I would be happy to chat more.

    This summer I used GoGo Photo Contest's platform for a calendar contest (https://www.gogophotocontest.com/), and they only use Stripe for payment processing. I found it a bit troublesome as the donor's information (address, phone number, etc.) lived on GoGo's platform, and Stripe only had the donor's name and email address. I would pull the report from GoGo, ensure the amounts matched on the Stripe deposit, and had a volunteer manually enter the donations into a batch. Not time effective, but it ensured accuracy.


    Next year I think I will create an Import-omatic import based on GoGo's data.
