how to add a new user

Still relatively new to OXL. Our current users were added during the conversion to OXL. How do I add a new user with new login and password?

Hi Tom,

As far as I can tell, OLX doesn't give users new logins and passwords. In order to add users to OLX, open the OLX tab in RE> account>integration options>security and select the user group that you want to have access to OLX. If your current user groups are too broad/don't include the right users, you can add a new group under RE>admin>security>new group and then select which user you want in the group. That security section doesn't include OLX, so this group has to be added from within OLX. I hope this answers your question, but if I misunderstood, please clarify and I would be glad to assist if I can.

To add to John's response, whenever we add a new user, or even re-install RE on one of our workstations, we have to re-install OLX separately, using the link on BlackBaud's website. Installing RE to your desktop won't automatically install OLX even for users in the right group privileges.

Thank you for your reply!

Forgive me for not asking clearly with my
first query.

I need to create a new user. Have
attempted adding a new user by logging into RE NXT. In
database view I select Administration > Security > New
User. Complete all necessary fields. When I select
“Save and Close” a pop-up window appears (Required Field Missing:
SID). So, what do I do to get around that?

The fields completed:
