Add a Progress Bar to your alert!

You can use the S-337 tag to display a progress meter to show supporters how close they are to your advocacy alert goal.

Here's the tag:

[[S337:application type:objectId:subObjectId:consId:goalAmount:progress image id:text color]]

application type: use "advocacy_alert"

objectId: use the id on advocacy alert

subObjectId: 0 (there is a teamID for use inside of Team Raiser)

consId: the constituent Id

goalAmount: number you are shooting for

progress image id:the id of a widget image to use

text color: color of the text

Here's an xml example with a goal of 10,000: <convio:session name="337" param="advocacy_alert:947:0:0:10000:1043:#000000"></convio:session>

You know how difficult it can be to properly format your "view online” links? Add “&pgwrap=n” which means “display with no pagewrapper,” and the email will look the same in the browser as it does in email. For instance: http://support.volunteersofamerica.org/site/MessageViewer?em_id=24601.0/&dlv_id=29243&pgwrap=n vs. http://support.volunteersofamerica.org/site/MessageViewer?em_id=24601.0/&dlv_id=29243 and the very messy footer.

Action Alert Target Delivery Notifications

Get in the habit of reviewing delivery notifications BEFORE you're ready to launch your campaign. And train your affiliate staff to do the same. There's nothing worse than thinking you sent 100 messages to a state legislator only to find out after the vote that none arrived. Use that info to plan alternate delivery methods for high value targets with delivery problems (i.e. print and hand-deliver prior to the vote).
