    Rose, Are you looking to pull this gift info in a 'canned' report in RE? Are you trying to create a query (group them) via a query? Creating a query and then taking the data to Export to create report using a specific format? Sounds like you may be to RE and not trying to overwhelm with options but what/how you do it may depend on the end goal. 


    There are a number of reports in RE that may easily report on what you need. Are these gifts cash received, pledges, a mix? All are to one appeal?  But you're just looking for the soft credits?  Some more clarity on exactly what you're looking for will help in providing the best advise.

    asked to create in RE and I’ve just begun using RE so I’ll try to
    explain what I need.  I need all individuals who give through
    United Way.  They would have a soft credit for the last

    Everyone has their own way of recording United Way gifts and dealing with soft credits - these aren't super universal standards. I might suggest reaching out to support for this instead of the user community. When I was first learning RE, I spent a lot of time with support. They're typically very happy to help.


    But if you prefer continuing with the community, please answer the following:


    1.) What is the gift type, subtype, campaign, fund, appeal, and package for your United Way gifts?

    2.) Where are the gifts recorded (you mention soft credits, but where is the hard credit?)
