New role with Greater Giving

OK peeps - Greater Giving. What's the good, the bad, and the ugly? I'm starting a new job in a few weeks and they use GG for online giving (P2P, auctions, etc). What do I need to know going in? They have RE 7, if that makes a difference.

The good is that for the most part, it's very ituitive to use, at least when it comes to auctions (that's all I've used it for). They have pretty decent built in exports that map to RE import expectations, so migrating data doesn't take a ton of effort, so long as you're comfortable with importing in general.

Their built in web page is only minimally customizable and it may be difficult to get it to match your org's branding super duper well.

Also, some of the more granular customization options are really, really buried in unexpected places, so the learning curve for that kind of thing is a little steep. Their support is pretty good though - I've always been able to call and get good guidance when I hit a roadblock.

Overall, I'm happy with GG. I think you'll probably like it, especially for day-of event stuff at a gala. It's miles better than RE Events for check-in, check-out stuff.

I agree with all that Ryan says. I find GG to be quite user friendly as far as data entry and import and export. Customer service is wonderful and they have very helpful videos.
