File type

I am having issues being able to choose Excel as my file type in Export. I did one yesterday that asked if I wanted a CSV file but today it doesn't ask me. I get DAT option or all files *.* but it still exports as a DAT

Donna,

Some more info would be helpful. Are you refering to the Export function or export in query?

Under Tools > User Options > Export do you have a default set to Excel?

Shouldn't be factor but what version are you using? Hosted?

That's what it was! It showed a different file type when I first created it and I didn't notice to change it. Thanks JoAnn.

P.S. I am not new to RE but it's been 3 years and I am a little foggy on things. Including how to respond to these comments in Community
