Intermittant Org contact emails being left out...

Options
I'm having an issue with OXL not recognizing contact emails for SOME organizations.  I created a query to send an invitation to some prospect orgs that we have captured over the last year and OXL picked up only about half of the organization contacts I had included in my query.  The only commonality I can find is that most of the missing contacts were ones I imported after a large expo where I had originally used excel to capture the organization contacts.  I'm thinking I must have left out some vital field from my import.  I started with support but they couldn't find the issue so I thought while I'm waiting to hear back I'd reach out to see if anyone else has had a similar issue or any advice on what to try.  I've done the following:
  • verified the contact box is checked and the email exists.
  • confirmed the mapping of the emails in settings
  • tried different query types
    • query list
    • constituent query.
When creating the email list when I pick up the query, it shows the 54 email addresses in the query but after the processing it gives me the following error "This email list contains no valid email addresses....Review your mapped email addresses to ensure you have selected the appropriate email types for your database."

I think this might be down to the "Relationship" field on the relationship. I was looking at this a while ago and I think that was the one. If it's blank it won't send to that contact. No idea why, go figure!

I'll try and check for wherever I posted that observation and get back if it's different. Certainly it's ponoe of the boxes in that corner...

  • Yes, just to clarify:
    1. MAIN thing is that OnEx does not send to relationships where there is no Relationship Type.
    2. How the following are set makes no difference as to whether they receive an email or not
      • Marked as inactive (they are still included)
      • Number of addresses per constituent (sends to main and to multiple contacts)
      • Send Mail to this address (will send anyway)
      • Requests no email ticked (will send anyway)
      • Contact yes/No (will send even if not marked as a contact)
      • Contact type blank (will send even if not marked as a contact
    Hope that helps,
