How do you process and ticketed event and an additional gift?

We use this feature on all of our LO events and teamraiser registration forms. I set up the event and two appeals in RE for the event ((Name of Event ) Online Registration and (Name of Event) Online Donation. I will link the RE Event and RE registration appeal to the LO/TR registration form. When the registration/donation comes down in the connector, we bulk process and have already created a gift batch template that we link the gifts to. If they make an additional gift, two separate entries will appear in your batch once processed through RE/LO. Once I open my gift batch, I can see if they made an additional gift and will then change the appeal to reflect that. This is how it appears once you process it from the RE/LO to the gift batch. As you can see the gifts are already split for you.

This is good to know! Just to verify, if you opted to separated our registration vs additional donation via a package ID within the same appeal instead of two different appeals, that shouldn't cause a problem with the automatic splitting, right?

Using a package won't change the way is processes. We use the two appeals because we have different packages for the registration and donation appeal. So it's just easier to use the two. Don't hesitate to use the additional gift. You would be surprised how many people actually add a donation on top of their registration.
