Mobile Event Registration forms?

Options

We recently launched our mobile website and have created a mobile donation form (even with the provided coding by Convio, not a simple task). I would now like to create a mobile event registration form. Has anyone successfully done this that can provided feedback? Hopefully soon we'll be provided with a streamlined function making this a part of Convio's software.

Thanks, Bill

    Bill,

Currently there's not any API information that is available to produce a good mobile experience for the Events tool. The control of CSS and layout in the Events tool is currently very limited but I was told that making all of our tools have the ability to be mobile-friendly is a high priority of our Engineering team and that this could be available in a future update. Not sure which one but it is something our product team is aware of.

Is this still the case? I've built mobile-friendly donation and survey forms, but it looks like it's a bit more work to make this happen with event registration forms.

For lack of a better solution, I'm currently attempting to build a Page Builder form using the html of the Convio-generated event registration form, and then use the Foundation framework for its responsive grid.

Yes Peter, the Events Modules still isn't built with our responsive design capabilities. It's coming but just not here yet. I often recommend just building a responsive landing page with links ot the ticket types. The ticket window won't be responsive but at least your event info can be.

Thilina, I can tell you from experience of having worked with Convio from early 2010 through 2013, then again from mid 2015 to now, the Events module has changed nearly not at all. It seems to be the very last/lowest priority on BB's dev team's list (their highest priority seems to be TeamRaiser development). However, I did hear recently from support that they intend to completely rebuild it as part of the upcoming Luminate overall rebuild. So perhaps there's hope!
