Online Express Event form attribute work arounds

Hello! We have an event with different types of registrations with different ticket costs. We want to require different information based upon the registration type.
For example, Student ticket purchase (id required) or Non profit ticket purchase (tax id required). I can add both options as a gift attribute, but there is currently no way to require the field based upon the ticket selection.  Has anyone figured out a work around?

    Hi Christina,

    I have a membership program I run using events b/c the membership forms don't have an attribute option.  The way I get around the different information requirements (in my case certification #) is that I create separate forms and on the webpage have members select what membership type they prefer;  See http://rodaleinstitute.org/ofamembership/  They click the membership and it links to the specific form.
